AP World History is designed to be a college-level course taught to high school students. The course will be a student-centered approach on the Five Themes of AP World History. It looks at the common threads of humanity over time: trade, religion, politics, society, and technology. It investigates how societies/economic systems/ governments have changed and continued over time in different places. Students will use a variety of sources including but not limited to a diverse array of primary sources, texts, visuals, and other scholarly support materials as outlined by the Resource Requirements of the College Board in order to analyze, synthesize, interpret and create a wide range of assessments. My goal for this Blog is to work with students, parents, and others to help develop skills necessary to help pass the AP World History Exam. Also, to show an ongoing, mutually beneficial interaction between the students, the parents, and the teacher (myself). This blog is an effective avenue to engage parents about their student’s learning. I will also try to reach out to families and the community to create an online learning community for the AP World History Class. Thank You. Mr. S.
